It seems that smartphones have changed our lives - we are more connected with each other, we share photos in real time, all the information we need is at the tip of our fingers, it's just fantastic.
The change hasn't bypassed the travel world - as you walk the streets of London today you can navigate your way with a travel app that will show you near by attractions you shouldn't miss and guide your way around.
But all this change can be very confusing - so here are the best travel apps you should check out, along with download links for immediate satisfaction :-).
I've compiled the list based on my own experience as well as top lists here Some apps are free and ad supported and some cost a few dollars. But since the variety is so great do check out the free apps before buying one.
-
- Tripit - Do you carry around all sorts of confirmation printouts on your vacation? Flight confirmation number, hotel confirmation number, rental car reservation number, etc. Well with Tripit you don't need to do that anymore. You simply forward all your confirmation emails to your TripIt account, and all the details are organized into one neat itinerary for you.
- Gas Buddy - summer is road trip time and Gas Buddy will show you where to find the cheapest gas around your current location.
- Kayak - The easiest way to search for flights, hotels and car rentals all in one place. With Kayak you can track your flight, convert currency and check out tours and attractions around your destination.
- KAYAK PRO

There are plenty more apps to choose from and of course it depends on your destination as well. Timeout has some city guides as apps but it's only for large popular destinations like London.
But what's certain is that order is very important when traveling with children. These apps sure do keep things in order and allow you to focus your energies on having fun with your children.. enjoy!
