Family travel brings out the best in moms. There is so much details to take care of, so much planning, so much juggling to keep everyone happy.
Each family is different and there is no right way to divide responsibility among parents. While I am a firm believer in equality in terms of active participation of both mom and dad, this post will honor the moms out there.
It starts with planning the right vacation, the right mix for everyone. Timing is everything and planning must take that into account. If the attraction is too long, the kids will get cranky or miss their nap time. If it's too much adult oriented you will all feel out of place.
