Well, it's almost the end of June, and schools in the Western hemisphere are almost over, it's time for summer fun and family vacation.
According to a recent survey, Americans are more inclined to take a summer vacation this year - with 58% of Americans planning to take one. A different survey showed that 80% of those planning to take a vacation will take a road trip and reach their destination by car.
For those of you using the night shift to get a head start on your journey, here are some safety tips to make sure you reach your destination and start your vacation off on the right track.
As you may already know, traveling with the kids require more attention than usual:
- make sure you plan ahead - know your car route and use a navigation system to make your life easier while driving
- Get the kids involved - have them choose attractions they'd like to see during your vacation and get them engaged in navigation through fun assignment - who'll find the exit sign we need?
- Make sure you stack up on snacks and favorite foods to make sure no one is hungry on the way
- Fill your gas tank in advance, check your tires, and make sure seat belts and kids' safety seats are in working order
But most importantly keep your spirits up and have fun, enjoy the vacation and enjoy your road trip to get there..
